Entyce is a prescription appetite stimulant for dogs that contains capromorelin, a type of ghrelin receptor agonist medication. It works by stimulating certain areas of the brain which are responsible for a dog’s appetite and hunger. Entyce is used to help increase the feeling of hunger and encourage dogs to eat. Decreased appetite may be caused by stress, other types of medications, or could be a sign of an illness or disease. Entyce is a flavored liquid solution available in 10 ml, 15 ml, and 30 ml bottles.

How It Works:
ENTYCE (capromorelin oral solution) is a selective ghrelin receptor agonist that binds to receptors and affects signaling in the hypothalamus to cause appetite stimulation and binds to the growth hormone secretagogue receptor in the pituitary gland to increase growth hormone secretion. Like naturally occurring ghrelin (the “hunger hormone”), ENTYCE binds to specific cell receptors and affects signaling in the hypothalamus, causing the feeling of hunger.
Feeding Instructions:
- The therapeutic provides a convenient, once-daily oral solution for treating inappetence.
- ENTYCE for dogs is supplied as a 30-mg/mL flavored oral solution for ease of administration and is available in three convenient bottle sizes: 10mL, 15mL and 30mL.
- To administer ENTYCE, gently shake the bottle, and then withdraw the appropriate amount of solution using the provided syringe.
- Rinse syringe between treatment doses.
- The effectiveness of ENTYCE has not been evaluated beyond 4 days of treatment in the clinical field study.
