Hyperthyroidism results from excessive production of thyroid hormones, leading to symptoms such as weight loss, increased appetite, increased thirst and urination, vomiting, and hyperactivity.

As the first FDA-approved oral liquid methimazole for cats, Felanorm provides a convenient alternative to tablets and transdermal gels. Its liquid formulation allows for accurate dose titration and easier administration, helping reduce stress for both cats and caregivers. Possible Side Effects:

Side effects most commonly occur within the first three months of treatment and may include:

• Loss of appetite

• Vomiting

• Lethargy

Less common but more serious side effects may include:

• Yellowing of the gums, skin, or eyes (possible liver involvement)

• Facial itching or scratching

• Increased bleeding tendencies

Caution:

Do not use in cats with hypersensitivity to methimazole or carbimazole. Do not use in cats with primary liver disease, renal failure, or autoimmune disease. Use in cats with renal dysfunction should be carefully evaluated, as treatment may reveal underlying kidney disease. Not for human use.

Storage Instructions:

Store at controlled room temperature at 25°C (77°F). Excursions between 15°–30°C (59°–86°F) are permitted. Keep the container tightly closed.
