What is Adequan?

Adequan® Canine is the only FDA-approved, injectable, disease-modifying osteoarthritis drug (DMOAD) for dogs in the US that inhibits enzymes that break down cartilage, so joint damage is reduced. Treatment with Adequan® Canine travels to the joint quickly ‐ within 2 hours ‐ and it stays in the joint for three days. Adequan® Canine is administered twice weekly for up to four weeks with a maximum of eight injections. You should see signs of improvement within a month.

Adequan® Canine is recommended for intramuscular injection for the control of signs associated with non-infectious degenerative and/or traumatic arthritis of canine synovial joints.

Adequan requires a prescription from your veterinarian. A syringe is needed, but not included in the package. Please see 3cc (3ml) luer slip syringe with 3/4" 25 g Needle.

Worked wonders

Used this years ago on Aussie mix. Helped her greatly.
Probably will be using it again on my Lethal White Aussie, as she's beginning to have some mobility issues.
