What is NexGard?

NexGard for Dogs kills adult fleas before they lay eggs to help prevent infestations. Plus, NexGard also kills the  Lone Star tick, Black-legged tick, American Dog tick and Brown dog tick. NexGard requires a prescription from your veterinarian. NexGard soft chew is FDA-approved, and proven safe and effective for use in dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age or older, weighing 4 pounds or more. It contains an ingredient, afoxolaner, that kills both fleas and ticks quickly and keeps killing for a whole month.

How this product should be used:

Give appropriate dosage based on your dog's weight. (See How to Use). If it is suspected that any of the dose has been lost or if vomiting occurs within two hours of administration redose with another full dose. If a dose is missed, administer NexGard and resume a monthly dosing schedule. NexGard can be administered with or without food. NexGard should be administered all year-round. Treat all the pets in your home to reduce the risk of a flea infestation.

Reported Side effects:

Reported side effects include vomiting, itching, diarrhea, lethargy and lack of appetite.

Cautions:

The safe use of NexGard in pregnant, breeding or lactating dogs has not been evaluated. Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures. See your veterinarian for more information.

Storage:

Store at or below 30°C (86°F) with excursions permitted up to 40°C (104°F).

These work!

Been using nexguard on my large dog (lab/shepherd) for over a year. This site has them for a much better price. We have not had a single flea break out since. I also have indoor cats that groom eachother so i cannot gove a topical, my dog taking these controls the flea population. The fleas die when they bite her. Not thrilled about her ingesting chemicals, but she has had lyme before which caused some permanent joint damage. So this is definitely lesser of the evils. And she likes them!
